Having a few years experience under my belt as a personal trainer and coming from a sporting background, I feel I have a good understanding of what people want out of a trainer and have had success in getting people to enjoy coming to the gym and working out as well as reaching their fitness goals.
It's not always easy making that first step into exercise and training but the rewards make up for that effort and when it becomes part of your routine, it changes from challenging to enjoyable. That's what I love about this job, seeing that change and watching people develop and become conscious about keeping themselves fit and healthy.
In terms of my sessions and style, I am big on keeping things simple, a lot of people overcomplicate training and make it a daunting thing to start. I give clear instruction right from the get go and help develop a solid but simple foundation to build on.
I provide fun, varied workouts that will see your body change and adapt quickly. I provide nutritional advice and bespoke workouts to do in your own time/when on holiday so you'll never lose progress.
There are 3 principles I stick by that I believe are the key to achieving the goals you set and they are:
Consistency -get into a routine and stick to it, consistently eating nutritious healthy food and exercising regularly are what are needed to start to see change.
Patience - be patient, there is no miracle exercise or diet that will give you rapid changes. Change will happen with time as long as you stay consistent in what you do.
Mindset - you've got to be mentally switched on as to why you're doing it. Having the willpower to say no to temptations and strength to keep going.
If you keep these 3 things in mind, there's no reason you can't reach your goals and get where you want to be with your fitness and health.
